A ruling party leader of Paltana area has been :accused of embezzling nearly Rs half a crore in the name of providing jobs in Paltana OTPC project.
He is identified as Gautam Sutradhar. Father’s name is Rakhal Sutradhar. The youth is also accused of making fake offer letters and joining OTPC in the name of those from whom he claims to have taken money.

In the name of fake recruitment in OTPC, so far 35 people have been cheated by him taking an average of Rs fifty thousand from each.
The accused youth is so clever that he had been collecting money for many days with fake offer letters by making fake seals.
Gautam Sutradhar made a fake offer letter for someone as a fireman or someone as an accountant.
Gautam collected a good amount of money in the name of giving a driver post or some official job.
Although the incident was kept under wraps for a long time, it came to light when the people who got the offer letters went to join OTPC.
The whole incident came to light when the OTPC authorities asked the youth after seeing the fake offer letter.
After this, OTPC filed a fraud case against Gautam Sutradhar in Kakraban police station. Gautam escaped before the police started searching for the cheating case.
Soon after the incident of woman taking money in Sonamura area of Udaipur town, another incident came to light in the name of offering job in Palatana. Gautam Sutradhar has promised to return the money to many. For which they have not filed a fraud case against Sutradhar so far.
