Ten shops burnt to ashes in devastating fire. It is believed that the shops were burnt to ashes due to sabotage.
Ten shops in the market were gutted in a devastating fire on Mahesh Smriti Road in Dharmanagar under North Tripura District.
The affected businessmen said that the amount of damage due to the fire is approximately Rs twenty lakh .
An eyewitness said that he heard a loud noise and saw the scene of the fire coming out of the market on Tuesday night.
The owners of the shop were immediately informed.
” The incident of fire is due to sabotage” alleged a business man who lost his shop in this fire incident.
Four fire engines from Dharmanagar and Kadamtala and Panisagar rushed to the spot. The fire was brought under control after about half an hour of efforts with the help of the local residents along with four fire engines. But by that time, some of the shops in the market were burnt to ashes.
Meanwhile, officials of Dharmanagar Municipal Council including District Magistrate Debapriya Bardhan, District Superintendent of Police Bhanupada Chakraborty, rushed to the spot of the incident.
