The much awaited Science City was inaugurated on Wednesday in Agartala, the capital of Tripura.

On this day, the Chief Minister of the state Dr. Manik Saha and Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma inaugurated the science city in Nimbagh area under Badharghat Assembly Constituency.

After unveiling the Science City plaque by pressing the remote, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and Deputy Chief Minister Yishnu Debbarma along with other guests inspected the objects kept inside the Science City Building.

The planets of the solar system – stars, the orbits of the planets, asteroids – meteorites, all together, a close combination of science and geography can be observed in this science City building.

While speaking, the Chief Minister of the state Dr. Manik Saha said that another feather has been added to the crown of Tripura’s development. Science is the only ladder to progress. Without science, the future of students is not possible to develop brightly. They should get out of traditional education and enrich themselves in education under the guise of sports.

In this regard, he also presented the biography of Rabindranath Tagore.

While speaking, Deputy Chief Minister of the state Jishnu Debbarma said that in 2019 he got the charge of Science and Technology Department. While walking along this path, he found a forest-covered manor house called Science City.

“The previous government had built Science City with the pleasure of mind. But it was not fulfilled due to lack of money. Today this science building is a milestone for all. The maintenance of which is everyone’s responsibility” said Jishnu Debbarman.

Notably the foundation stone was laid during the previous government’s tenure and the half-finished work has been completed in the current government’s tenure and inaugurated on Wednesday.
