Partha Sengupta, a senior journalist and member of the Agartala Press Club, passed away at around three in the early morning on Saturday. He was 68 years old at the time of his death.
He was suffering from rare motor neuron disease.
Press club president Jayanta Bhattacharya and others paid their last respect to Sengupta at Agartala Press Club .
Press Club President Jayant Bhattacharya said Partha Sengupta was a long time colleague. He has worked in the interests of journalists. He was an honest person. He had full support in all good works.
His death is an irreparable loss, said the president of Agartala press club.
