Four person sentenced life imprisonment in sensational Shahjahan Murder Case by local court. However Shahjahan’s family and mother Maya Rani Bibi alleged that the accused had threatened them of getting killed. The four persons are Zarina Begum, Rafiq Mia, Majid Mia and Sajal Mia. Shahjahan was brutally murdered at Jaipur, Agartala on 2013. Shahjahan used to run the mid-day-meal. Zarina wanted 6 kg of rice from him. But Shahjahan said it was not possible to give more than 3 kg of rice without permission following which he was murdered brutally. Although during the investigation police arrested 13 people and submitted chargesheet to the court. In 2015 the case was transferred to the District and Session Judge’s Court. Charges were framed in this case on January 7,2016. 17 witnesses were produced in the court regarding this case. Meanwhile Sahajan mother also said that Rabi Khan, Mushid Mia, and Sauvik Mia also the criminals among them Rabi Khan is the main culprit of this incident. “We have been receiving death threats since the verdict was announced” added Maya Rani Bibi.
