Mizoram, Mamit District Administration has imposed section 144 at phuldungsai the last village of Tripura, and the adjoining areas of Jampui Hills as tension is brewing over the move of a religious organization to reconstruct the Shiv Temple in the top of the hill. The order came into force from friday. Naturally question raising that how can a state government impose section 144 to another state’s territory? Meanwhile North Tripura District Administration had imposed section 144 at Bethliangchhip, the highest pick of Tripura, and the adjoining areas of Jampui Hills on 12 October. Earlier, Lalbiaksangi, Home Secretary of the Mizoram government in a letter to his Tripura counterpart requested to stop the construction and claimed that the location of the proposed temple actually belongs to the Mamit District of Mizoram. Now mizoram imposes section 144. Government of tripura yet to react in this matter.
