A group of dacoits brandishing pistols again attacked a house leaving law & order under question mark.
The incident happened on Sunday night in Khedabari area of Sonamura under South Tripura district.
The people of the entire village are terrified of this incident.
It is to be noted that on Saturday night again, a group of robbers attacked a house in Manikyanagar with firearms. The incident took place in Ward No. 6 area of Manikyanagar Purbapara under Kalamchoura police station
Soon after this incident, a group of robbers attacked the house of Biplab Majumdar in Khedabari area under Sonamura police station late on Sunday night.
The dacoits entered the house of Biplab Majumdar, showed pistols, beat up the women of the house and looted the cash along with gold ornaments from the house.
As they spoke, four robbers entered armed. They beat them with guns and sharp weapons and looted gold ornaments and other articles along with cash. After looting, the people of the house started shouting. Information was given to Sonamura police station.
Police and TSR forces of Sonamura police station went to the spot and started investigating the incident. It is known that the owner of the house Biplab Majumder lives outside the house due to his job.
However, the women of the house said that all the robbers had black clothes on their faces. As a result, she could not recognize anyone. However, this incident has spread panic throughout the village.
Due to the increase in incidents like robberies in Sonamura, Boxnagar areas on the eve of Durga Puja, serious questions have started to arise about border patrolling and internal security measures.
