The West Tripura District Police Administration has made special arrangements for the peaceful completion of the Durga Puja festival.
On Thursday West Tripura District Superintendent of Police Kiran Kumar held a press conference in his office and brought this up.
He said special initiatives have been taken to complete the Durga Puja peacefully.
This year there are about nine and fifty Durga Puja pandals in West District. Among them, about eight hundred puja pandals are in Sadar area. Keeping security in mind, the police administration has assigned 2,520 TSR jawans to provide security during Durga Puja. There will be more than seven hundred police and four hundred SPO jawans. Besides, arrangements have been made at 25 naka points. There will be 60 police booths. And a delegation of police officers visited various puja mandaps and instructed the organizers to keep CCTV cameras and security. And 30 additional CCTV cameras have been installed for added security in the city. Besides this, the BSF has been asked to maintain strict vigilance in the border areas.
He also said that CRPF is in sufficient numbers to prevent any untoward incident.
In the organized press conference, the District Superintendent of Police also said that there will be no entry on the four days of Puja from 5 pm to 12 midnight.
The Superintendent of Police said that this special initiative has been taken by the police so that the people of the state can enjoy Durga Puja peacefully.
