The Central Government has called a special session of Parliament for five days from 18 to 22 September.

News agency ANI quoted sources as saying that the special session of Parliament starting from September 18 will begin in the old building.
It has been said in the report that on September 19, on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, the parliamentary work will be shifted to the new Parliament House.
Let us inform that the new Parliament House was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 28 this year.
It is known that the new Parliament is equipped with many modern facilities. The new Parliament building is in the shape of a triangle and has been built under the Central Vista project.
Built at a cost of 862 crores, this new parliament building is spread over 64,500 square meters. It is known that PM Modi had laid the foundation stone of the new Parliament House on 10 December 2020.
Earlier, according to TOI, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said in a tweet, ‘The special session of Parliament (13th session of 17th Lok Sabha and 261st session of Rajya Sabha) is being called from 18 to 22 September with five sittings. There is hope of meaningful discussion and debate in the Parliament amid Amrit Kaal. The government aims to have meaningful discussion and debate in the upcoming session of Parliament.
It may be noted that the Monsoon Session of the Parliament which concluded last month was held in the old Parliament House.
