Lack Of Awareness Among Common People About Blood Donation: Tripura CM

“There is still lack of awareness among the common people about blood donation. If this obstacle can be removed, there will never be a shortage of blood for urgent needs in the future”

This was said by Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha while inaugurating a blood donation camp at Tapoban Ashram in Gokulnagar of Bishalgarh subdivision on Sunday.

 On this occasion, the Chief Minister also inaugurated a Yatrinivas at Tapoban Ashram. The chief minister also performed puja at the ashram on this day.


Inaugurating the Blood Donation Camp and Yatrinivas, Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha further said that donating blood has a unique feeling, which has no comparison. Blood donation creates a sense of brotherhood among people.

 The Chief Minister said that as a result of blood donation, the blood donors benefited as well as the sick patients. 

At present, the state has about 42 thousand units of blood, which is slightly more than the requirement of the state, said CM.
