The students of Jagabandhu Para High School blocked the Gandachhera-Ambassa road under Dhalai Distric of Tripura since Monday morning.
They said that there has been shortage of teachers in the school for a long time. The school is running with two teachers especially in the primary section. So they blocked the road demanding teacher.
They also demands the construction of a mid-day mill kitchen and the renovation of the school road.
After blocking the road for a long time since morning, finally the DCM along with other administrative officials rushed to the spot.
After talking to the protesting students there, DCM assured that a kitchen would be constructed for mid-day meal and the problem of the poor condition of the roads along with the shortage of teachers would also be resolved soon.
After receiving this assurance from the DCM and administrative officials, the students finally withdrew the blockade.
Many passenger cars were stuck on both sides of the road due to the long road blockade.
