Tripura Pradesh Congress President Ashish Kumar Saha and MLA Sudip Roy Barman went to attend the meeting of Congress Working Committee which started in Hyderabad from Saturday.
Both of them left the state on Friday responding to the call of the central leadership.
Then the Congress Working Committee meeting started at a hotel there on Saturday afternoon. Earlier, All India Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge inaugurated the entire program. Also many top leaders of Congress including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi were present.
PCC president Ashish Kumar Saha from Hyderabad said that various internal strategies of the party including upcoming Lok Sabha elections will also be discussed in this meeting.
Only MLA Sudip Roy Burman from the state was present in this meeting of the CWC. Also, the extended committee meeting to be held on Sunday will be attended by various members of the CWC, including the provincial presidents and other CLP leaders.
He said that after this meeting, a mega rally will be held locally in Tukkugudu on Monday.
Also, based on the vote, the leaders will be assigned the responsibility of campaigning in each of the 119 assembly constituencies.
Two participating representatives from the state will also perform that duty.
Asish Saha said that after the election campaign, they will participate in a Bharat Joro Yatra.
