Agartala experienced its coldest day of the season on Sunday with the minimum temperature being at just 8.4 degree Celsius, the Indian Meteorological Department IMD said. The capital has been facing cold weather for the past few days. The capital registered its 3rd successive “Cold Day”, the longest spell of such weather conditions in January. However the maximum temperature was 23.2 degree Celsius. According to MeT officials on Monday Agartala could see a further fall in temperature as the cold wave is likely to intensify. Minimum and Maximum temperature could be around 9 and 24 degree Celsius.
