The sudden encroachment of land belonging to the Forest Department and the State Revenue Department in the area adjacent to Manu Manpui Road has created a stir in the entire sub-division.
A large number of surrendered militant members reportedly occupied this land.
The sudden encroachment of land belonging to the Forest Department and the State Revenue Department in the area adjacent to Manu Manpui Road of Kanchanpur Sub-division has created a lot of tension throughout the sub-division.
The incident also, raising questions about the role of the district administration.
Surrendered Militant of NLFT suddenly started occupying this land. A total of 1275 members occupied 28 acres of land in the area. Tension has spread in this incident.
According to the report the SDM (North) and SDM (Kanchanpur) have been informed about this incident , but so far no action has been taken to take back the forcibly occupied land.
The matter has become a matter of deep concern as surrendered militants as well as Reang refugees have encroached upon government and even private land in various parts of the state.
