The doctors said in a press conference that the special Percival tissue valve has been successfully replaced through the first open heart surgery at Agartala Govt Medical College AGMC.

According to the doctors, this high-quality tissue valve was transplanted at the origin of the aorta of his heart without the use of sutureless or thread. The cardiac surgery team led by Kanak Narayan Bhattacharya.
The six-hour surgical team consisted of Cardiac Anesthesiologist Dr. Manimoy Debbarma, Dr. Joydip Debnath, Dr. Surjit Pal and a team of technologists including Sujan Sahu, Sudipta Mandal, Ratan Mandal, Jaydip Chakraborty, Amrit Murasingh, Arpita Sarkar, , Satyajit Debnath.
Currently, the patient’s condition is stable and she is breathing and eating normally. It has also been reported.
According to the doctors in charge, this special sutureless Percival tissue valve has been implanted for the first time in Agartala Government Medical College and GBP Hospital in the entire North Eastern region.
It was earlier transplanted in a private hospital in Kolkata, East India.
