CPIM Tripura demands immediate removl of the outsiders gatherers in the poll bound areas. Party also demands free and fearless election and adequate security to the voters and polling agents. On Wednesday CPIM Tripura state Secretary jitendra choudhury writes to DGP Tripura, Chief Secretary and State Election Commissioner. In his latter Mr Choudhry writes:
“I would like to inform you that so far informations has been pouring from different poll bound ULBS and several wards of Agartala Municipal Council that large number of miscreants are intruding into those areas at the behest of ruling BJP and indulging into terrorizing the houses of the opposition suppoeters with dire consequences, with the threat not to move to the polling stations tomorrow on 25th November, 2021.”
“Such informations are being received from Dharmanagar, Kumarghat, Teliamura, Khowai, Sabroom, Belonia, Melaghar and Agartala Municipal Corporation areas. Today at around 4 pm, a group of 15-20 such miscreants intruded into the house of Smriti Sarkar, CPIM candidate of Agartala Municipal Corporation and threatened her by openly demonstrating their fire arms”, he added.
CPIM state secretary wrote “We are very much shocked to understand that despite of your memo No. 3950/F.17/Press/AIGP(VO)PHQ/2019, Dated 23/11/2021 and subsequently the repeated directions of Learned Apex Court and Tripura High Court in this regard the situations are not being improved rather deteriorating further and further.”
