Dharmanagar fire department received a call at seven in the morning on Tuesday, that an accident had occurred on the alternate national highway at Baruakandi.
The fire department personnel went there and saw a scooty, an e-rickshaw hit from behind and the driver of the scooty injured seriously in an accident.
The number of the scooty is R05-E-6963 and the DMC number of the e-rickshaw that pushes back is E-1094.
The name of the driver of the scooty is Surya Sarkar (16), resident of Ward No. 17 of Dharmanagar Municipal Council under North Tripura District.
He had a girl with him. Her name is Shibani Bhattacharya, a resident of the same ward.
It is known that they were going to take a selfie on the national highway when they suddenly hit the back of an e-rickshaw and met with an serious accident.
The fire department personnel rescued Surya Sarkar from the spot and brought him to North Tripura District Hospital in Dharmanagar.
