“Electricity tariff hiked as gas prices rises following the war between Russia and Ukraine. The Regulatory Commission has increased this tariff. He said, “CPIM is a sinner. They are spreading misinformation by pretending not to know everything. It is very regrettable. From 2006-07 financial year to 2014-15 financial year, electricity tariff increased by 134 percent during CPIM rule. And in the 8 years of BJP’s rule, the electricity tariff in the state has increased by only 7 percent. The minister questioned why the tariff was increased by 134 percent?. This price increase is due to increase in gas prices.
“On June 7 last, the peak hour electricity demand was 362 mega watts. This year the demand will reach 380 mega watts during Puja” he said.
“On the other hand, 120 mega watts has to pay to Bangladesh. A total of 500 mega watts of electricity needs to be met. It is being arranged. Eliminating Errors Eliminating Deviations. To meet the demand of 500 mega watts of electricity, the corporation will have to spend an additional Rs two crore ” said Nath.
Minister Ratan Lal Nath also said that the corporation and the state government have nothing to say about the tariff increase. There was a gap between the systems for many days. Modernization of the system will take two to three years to complete. 9 substations of 132 kV and 34 substations of 133 kV will be established. 458 high tension lines are being installed. 5 new sub stations will be commissioned before Durga Puja. Rs 2275 crores of work has started. 143 km of underground cable is being laid. Cover conductor installation of Rs 503 crore has started.
Electricity theft will not be possible once the cable line is completed. All this was highlighted by Minister Ratan Lal Nath.
The total number of Consumers in the state is 9 lakh 64 thousand 997. 5 percent of them get all rebates. Among them, the number of domestic customers is 8 lakh 59 thousand 408. It is not possible to change everything overnight. work in progress.
