President of Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) and educationist Dr. Bhabatosh Saha has resigned from his post without assigning any reason, at a time when the ‘save year’ examination begins on Wednesday.
Even though the vice chairman of the board will be in charge of the responsibilities assigned to Dr. Saha, the government may soon appoint a new president for the TBSE.
Dr. Saha has been requested to continue in the post till the appointment of president
TBSE sources said that Dr. Bhabatosh Saha has sent his resignation letter to board secretary Dulal Dey and a copy has also been sent to the director of school education.
Dr. Saha had earlier expressed his desire to resign from his post but yesterday the employees of TBSE bid him farewell at a function.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Saha did not give any reason for his decision to resign but announced that he was resigning from Monday and would be away from office from Tuesday. He has also informed higher authorities including the state secretariat about his decision to resign.
“Someone or the other will definitely replace me and till that happens, I have been requested to continue. My resignation has not been accepted yet” said Dr Bhabatosh Saha.
