TECC To Stage Agitation Protest For Pending DA Of Employees, Recruitment

The Tripura Employees’ Coordinating Committee (HGB Road) is going to start a movement on various demands of the people including the teaching staff. 

Swapan Bal, general secretary of the Tripura Employees’ Coordination Committee, announced the agitation movement in a press conference organized at the Samannay Bhavan at Melarmath on Monday. 

He said that the All India State Government Employees Federation has been fighting for a long time across the country on 7-point important demands, but the present government has not taken the initiative to solve the problems. Therefore, the All India State Government Employees Federation and the Confederation of Central Government Employees and Warders will organize a rally at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi on November 3. 

STFI, Railways, All India Insurance Employees Association and others will also participate in the rally. Various publicity programs are being carried out in the state to make the rally a success. A joint convention was also held in the state on June 11 at the Agartala Town Hall. After that, conventions have been held in each district during the month of July-August, Said TECC.

“Agartala Jatha program was supposed to be held on August 8 with some demands of Tripura state along with 7 point national demands. But the police administration did not allow the jatha program at the scheduled time. On October 18, TECC will organize a road meeting at Paradise Chowmuhani with the demands of the public including the teaching staff of the state. Basically the demand is immediately release of due 22 percent DA of the teachers and pensioners of the state” TECC said.

 Second – Stop all types of outsourcing and contract recruitment and appoint regular employees to all vacancies. Regularization of all Contractual employees including all types of , outsourced, daily wage employees, TECC Said. 

TECC slso said that the increased electricity tariff and property tax must be withdrawn.
