Police and CRPF jawans of Teliamura police station recovered a large quantity of drugs including weapons and cash from Tuimdhu area of Chakmaghat in Teliamura subdivision under khowai district of Tripura in a joint operation.
Police managed to arrest three people involved in the incident.
According to the details of the incident, the Teliamura Police Station received a tip from a secret source that Ghani Miah’s house in Mungiakami Tuimadhu area contained a large quantity of drugs, weapons and illegal items.
Based on that information, Teliamura police and 71 CRPF troopers conducted a joint operation.
The police and CRPF forces were successful as usual in the operation. A lot of drugs from Ghani Miah’s house, containers and Syringes were recovered.
Besides, the police recovered Rs 23 thousand 725 in cash from that house. These are believed to be money from drug sales.
The police detained three others including the owner of the house, Ghani Mia, and continued intensive interrogation.
Police are continuing to nab others involved in the gang after recovering more information from them.
It should be noted that the prevalence of drug throughout the vast area under Teliamura police station has made the people of the area disturbed for a long time.
Youths are just like floating in the sea of drug. The police official claimed that the police have started such activities to free the youth from the grip of drugs.
