For the First time e-Cabinet meeting held in Tripura. e-Cabinet system has been implemented making Cabinet memorandums and minutes completely paperless.
Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha launched this at the Civil Secretariat on Wednesday.
“E-cabinet started in Tripura from today towards Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji’s ‘Digital India’ mission. Today inaugurated the e-cabinet at the Secretariat and held the first meeting of the cabinet in this new system. Tripura is the fourth state in the country to have this e-cabinet facility . This new initiative will strengthen e-governance initiative” mentioned CM.
Tripura government has decided to start e-offices in all offices and is going ahead in mission mode. Today we honour all the offices that have implemented 100% e-office facilities in the secretariat. The current state government has already taken several steps to build digital infrastructure to ensure environment friendly and paperless circles” added CM Saha.
On the other hand Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said:
“as a result of the unanimous desire of the Chief Minister of the State and this landmark decision of the State Government, provision has been made to make the entire process online starting from the memorandum of the Cabinet meeting through the e-Cabinet application”.
“in today’s cabinet meeting , starting from the memo of the cabinet meeting has been approved through the secretaries, chief secretaries, ministers of the concerned departments. Finally, the entire process of hosting the Cabinet meeting by the Chief Minister will be done online”.
“necessary advice will be given to the concerned departments and offices through the e-cabinet application. Privacy and security are given top priority in e-cabinet applications. Only authorized users can use this application by logging in to an authorized computer”.
” through this application, all cabinet memorandums can be uploaded with date and time, stamp. The introduction of this new system will bring more efficiency and dynamism to the overall process of conducting Cabinet meetings by removing the dependencies caused by physical movement of Cabinet meeting memos through paper”
