“Yoga is not just an exercise. This is a very ancient method. Munis, sages have been practicing yoga since ancient times. Because through this yoga the mind, soul and the human body are developed. Through this, you can know yourself. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has introduced yoga to the whole world. International Yoga Day is observed today all over the world. It is through yoga that inspiration is created in everyone to move together” Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha said this while participating in the yoga festival organized at Dibrugarh University Maidan in Assam on Friday morning.
On this day, the ministers and administration officials of various states of North Eastern region along with the central minister participated in this yoga festival.
Union AYUSH Minister Sarbananda Sonowal was present as one of the guests on this occasion.
Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chauna Men, Health Minister A Libong, Union Minister of State Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, Meghalaya Power Minister AT Mandal, Sikkim Urban Development Minister LB Das, Assam DFU MP Haren Singh Bey, former Assam Minister Bhavesh Kalita and other public representatives were also present there.
Chief Minister of Tripura Prof. Dr. Manik Saha as Chief Guest on the occasion greeted and felicitated all those present on behalf of the people of Tripura state.
He thanked Union AYUSH Minister Sarbananda Sonowal for inviting him in this yoga festival. The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream is to take the youth of the country forward. This yoga practice will play role in building one world, one family and one future. It is through yoga that everyone can walk together. It is possible to bring the family together. The Chief Minister also mentioned that I know the importance of yoga as a doctor.
Along with this, the Chief Minister of Tripura praised the Union Minister Sarbananda Sanwal for taking forward the Prime Minister’s thoughts throughout the country through yoga.
On this occasion, Union AYUSH Minister Sarbananda Sonowal announced setting up of a 100-bed Yoga and Naturopathy Hospital at Dibrugarh. He said that yoga should be made more popular all over the world on the path of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The presence of teachers and students of Dibrugarh University in the yoga festival was in large number .
Apart from this, students from different countries including Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Nepal, Nigeria, Egypt, Korea participated in this yoga festival.
On this day, the Union Minister and other distinguished guests participated in yoga practice.
