Dissatisfaction and resentment erupted in Tipra Motha party also over the nomination of candidates for the upcoming assembly elections.
Angry party leaders and supporters met Motha supremo Pradyot Kishore Debbarman in Rajbari and demanded change of candidates in several Assembly Constituencies.
As BJP and other political parties did not take any final decision on alliance or seat sharing , Matha finally decided to fight the assembly elections alone.
According to the decision, the party supremo Pradyot Kishore has already announced the first list of 20 candidates on Saturday.
On Sunday night party announced 2nd list of 10 more candidates.
Meanwhile disagreements have already arisen between party leaders and supporters regarding candidate nomination.
To talk about these issues, party leaders, activists and supporters came to meet Pradyot Kishore at the royal palace on Sunday.
Protests were also observed on at tha gate of Royal Palace.
However, everyone who came to meet Maharaja expressed hope Pradyot Kishore Debbarma will consider the matter and take necessary action.
According to the report differences have arisen over the nomination of candidates in Chamnu and Pecharthal assembly constituencies.
Party leader and nominee Hollywood Chakma led by Sadhan Chakma, Rajib Chakma, Pratap Chakma and Jiten Chakma met party supremo Pradyot Kishore to discuss these issues.
‘Only one seat has been allotted for Chamka community. But two were promised by the TIPRA supremo” said one agitator.
