Monday was the last day to file nominations for the Tripura Assembly polls.
And on the last day morning, Tipra Motha the ruling party of Tripura Autonomous District Council announced the name of the candidate for 12 more seats.
Motha announced the list of candidates for 20 constituencies on Sunday morning. They announced the names of 10 more candidates on Sunday night. Tipramotha is going to fight in 42 seats as per their announcement.
However, after the announcement of the candidates in several places, some anger has come to the fore from the locals.
But Tipra Motha leadership claims that party workers have accepted the party’s decision.
Tipra Motha has a direct hold on about 22 of Tripura’s 60 assembly constituencies.
If they win all these seats, they can be one of the decisive factors in the formation of the government.
