Radhacharan Debbarma, general secretary of Upajati Ganamukti Parishad, attended the discussion meeting organized at Melarmath Chhatra Yuva Bhavan on the occasion of 46th foundation day of Tribal Students Union, TSU.
Speaking in the program Radhachan said:
In 2018, the number of Madhyamik candidates in the state was 49 thousand. In the present education year, the number of secondary examinees decreased to 38 thousand. And among the declining candidates are majority of the tribal candidates.
The slogans of Save Education, Save Constitution, Save India are raised in the discussion meeting organized on this day.
Besides, the demand to cancel the New Education Policy 2020 has also been raised from the discussion meeting.
“This new national education policy is against the interests of students. If this new education policy is introduced, it will affect the students” he said.
Radha Charan Debbarma also said in the discussion meeting that today is the 46th foundation day of this organization after many setbacks.
SFI State Secretary Sandipan Deb, TSU State Secretary Sujit Tripura and other leaders were also present in the discussion meeting organized on this day.
