Ratan Lal Nath, the minister in charge of the Tripura State Election Department, presented information regarding voters list in a press conference at the civil secretariat on Thursday.
Speaking in the press conference Minister Nath said:
During the 2023 Tripura Assembly elections, the total number of voters in the state was 28 lakh 13 thousand 478. After the election till November 1, the total number of voters reached 28 lakh 26 thousand 46. 12 thousand 568 voters have newly added. The review of voter list has started from November 1. The review will continue till December 6. The draft list was published on November 1.
28 lakh 26 thousand 46 voters are in this draft list. Claim objections have been raised on this draft list. From November 1 to November 15, 28 thousand 771 names have been submitted in the claim, objection and correction application form.
The minister appealed to the common people and political parties to fill and submit application form 6 to register the names of those who will complete 18 years of age on January 1, 2024 in the voter list.
