Anganwadi workers locked CDPO office in Manu in Dhalai District, Tripura as they yet to receive last month salary. The protest went on for a long time. Anganwadi workers complained that even after May 24, they have not received their salary for the month of April.

It is alleged that the CDPO disappeared when he went to the office to inquire about the matter.

As usual when the Principal Officer at Khumlung was contacted he informed that the requisition sent by Manu CDPO office for the salary of Anganwadi workers was completely wrong. So the salary was not released on time.

Hundreds of Anganwadi workers are left unpaid due to the negligence of Manu CDPO office.

Anganwadi workers collectively come to Manu CDPO office demanding salary. But even on Wednesday also CDPO was allegedly absent as usual.

So the angry Anganwadi workers locked the office. They made it clear that every Anganwadi center under Manu CDPO office will remain closed until the salary is being paid.
