Tripura Assembly Polls: BJP To Announce Manifesto On Thursday

Bharatiya Janata Party national president Jagat Prakash Nadda will release the manifesto for the upcoming Tripura assembly elections on Thursday i.e on February 9 ahead of the state assembly elections to be held on February 16. 

Information about this has been provided by party sources. 

The source said, “BJP national president JP Nadda will release the manifesto for the Tripura assembly elections on February 9 and will visit Tripura on the same day.”

The source added , “Many new points have been added in the manifesto which are important for the development of the state. The Modi government always thinks about the development of the Northeast. Their vision is the development of the state and most importantly the youth.” 

After releasing the manifesto, Nadda is scheduled to address a public rally. 

He said, “In the morning on Thursday he will offer prayers at the Tripura Sundari temple, Udaipur. After releasing the manifesto, he will also address a rally.”

In their last manifesto for Tripura Assembly Polls in 2018, BJP promises jobs, AIIMS-like facilities in hospitals, 7th Pay Commission pay matrix, increasing monthly social pension to Rs 2,000, providing houses to 3.8 lakh families, providing drinking water to 53 percent households etc.

Voting for 60 seats in the state is to be held on February 16. The counting of votes will be held simultaneously on March 2.
