The Trinamool Congress leadership (TMC Candidate List) has prepared a list of 129 potential candidates for the upcoming Tripura Assembly Election 2023.
The list has already been sent to the party National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee.
Out of these 129 candidates 60 candidates will be selected The top leadership will take the final decision in that regard.
Tripura will vote on February 16. Trinamool Congress has entered the field in the middle of the election campaign. They are desperate to open accounts in Tripura before the 24th Lok Sabha elections.
In this context, an urgent meeting was held by the state president of the party.
President Pijush Kanti Biswas, party’s incumbent leader in Tripura Rajib Banerjee and Rajya Sabha MP Sushmita Dev were present in that meeting.
Trinamool leaders from all the districts of the state were present in this meeting.
After the meeting, Rajib said, “We have held an organizational meeting to discuss various issues related to the election. After talking to everyone, we have sent a list of 129 names to the top leadership. List has been sent to Abhishek Banerjee . The final list will be prepared soon from this list. The top leadership will do that.”
Pijush Kanti Biswas said in this context, while preparing the initial list of candidates, the applicants have been judged in various ways. How likely they are to win, how loyal they are to the party, how acceptable they are to people, etc. were given important in this regard.
” The candidate list to be announced on Sunday. Submission of nominations to be held on Monday ” he said.
Biswad said, “Abhishek will be here again. He will hold meetings in Sonamura and Dharmanagar. Many star campaigners will join him in the election campaign. A senior party leader will be appointed as an observer in each block. Our president is coming to the state on the afternoon of February 6. We will meet him at the airport. Will go to welcome. Mamata Banerjee will hold rally from Rabindra Bhavan. Besides, a meeting will also be held at Rabindra Bhavan in Agartala.”
