Miscreants allegedly abducted a contractor and seriously injured him. According to the details of the incident, Pranab Laskar, the contractor of the TSR camp area of Bishalgarh under Sepahijala District of Tripura, works the installation and maintenance of CC cameras.
Before the last assembly elections, he got the job of installing CC cameras in various places through government tender.
“Then some BJP workers from Rastar Matha and Sekerkot area demanded Rs.5 lakh from me. But as the money was not settled, they detained me while working on the CCTV camera in the garage in Gokulnagar area on Sunday morning” speaking on the incident said the victim.
“When i told that i could not pay the money, the miscreants started beating me as soon as i came to the crematorium at the Rastar Matha area. At that time, when my wife called me in my mobile she was threatened that she would never get her husband back” said Pranab.
Later, Pranab made a trick by sending an SMS to the mobile phones of the family and told them that he is near the CTI. The people of the house rushed there. Later, the miscreants fled from the car.
Bishalgarh police and family members rescued Pranab in bloody condition and brought him to Bishalgarh Sub Divisional hospital.
From there he was referred to GBP Hospital. Both his legs are severely injured. The miscreants beat Pranab by tying both his legs, his wife alleged.
The police have taken over a case and started investigating the incident. The family members demanded proper investigation of this incident.
