The Tripura unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will intensify the campaign for the Lok Sabha elections along with celebrating the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17.
A party leader gave this information on Sunday.

BJP leader and MLA Bhagwan Das said that the celebration on the Prime Minister’s birthday have been named ‘Namo Vikas Utsav’ and various programs will be organized on the occasion.
Das told reporters, “We want to show the love of the people of Tripura for Modi ji. We all want him (Modi) to take oath as Prime Minister for the third consecutive time. BJP will intensify the campaign for Lok Sabha elections with this function”.
He said that on September 17, the day would begin with a yoga session at ‘Kumarghat PWD Ground’, which would be attended by Chief Minister Manik Saha, his Cabinet colleagues and senior party leaders from Delhi and Tripura.
“Later, well-known social activists will deliver patriotic addresses,” Das said.
After this, more than 500 volunteers wearing ‘NaMo’ T-shirts will join the cleanliness drive in the area.
He said that when the Prime Minister turns 73 on September 17, a total of 73 families will be given PG ration cards, 73 copies of Bhagavad Gita will be distributed to students and 73 disabled people will be provided assistance during the programme.
Das said that singers Ananya Chakraborty and Snigdhajit Bhowmik will perform during this period
