All Tripura Blind Association submitted a memorandum to the Minister of Social Welfare and Social Education Department Tinku Roy on 16-point demands.
A delegation of All Tripura Blind Association met Minister Tinku Roy at State Civil Secretariat on Monday regarding various problems of specially abled people.
The delegation led by Mithun Saha, the general secretary of the organization placed the deputation.
Speedy filling of vacancies for the visually impaired in various departments of the state government, establishment of braille press in the state, making the amount of allowance five thousand rupees, implementation of the Rights of Specially Able Persons Act-2016 etc are the few demands among their 16 point demands.
They expressed hope that the Department of Social Welfare and Social Education will take appropriate steps for the welfare of the blind.
