Bindu Debnath, and Taffajal Hossain, the BJP nominated candidates respectively from Dhanpur and Boxanagar Assembly Constituencies, organized rallies on Thursday and filed their nomination papers.
They submitted their nomination papers to the Returning Officer of Sonamura.
Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath, Union State Minister Pratima Bhowmik and other leaders of the party were present in the rally of Bindu Debnath.
On the other hand Mayor AMC Dipak Majumdar, Minister Tinku Roy attended the rally of Taffajal Hossain.
On this day, MoS Pratima Bhowmik said that the candidates nominated by the BJP in the two assembly constituencies will win the by-elections with huge votes.
In her words, the common people will win the BJP candidate for the second time in Dhanpur with a large number of votes.
“Moreover, this time in the by-poll, the BJP candidate Tafajal Hussain will win with a large number of votes from the Boxanagar constituency . Because, the people have made their mistake by winning the CPIM candidate in the Boxanagar in the 11th assembly election. So, by winning the BJP candidates in the bypoll, they will correct their mistakes and create history in the state” said Bhowmik.
Notably Tipra Motha and the Congress will not field candidates in the by-polls to two assembly constituencies to check the vote divide.
That’s why the contest is going to held directly between CPIM and BJP.
CPIM candidates already submitted their nomination papers from Dhanpur and Boxanagar Assembly Constituencies.
Voting will take place on September 5. Counting of votes is scheduled on September 8.
