The long awaited suspense in Tipura Is going
to end shortly with an expansion of the Tripura State Cabinet.
A senior leader of Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party in condition of anonymity informed that the central leadership has given green signal to the state government and its chief Biplab Deb for filling up the four cabinet berths that are left vacant for a long time.
Accordingly, Pradesh BJP leadership continuously holding closed door meetings and kept a sharp eye on their MLAs. Not only this, the party’s leadership is also observing the pulse of people minutely and areas support is yielding or eroding.
Based on several instances, ground-reality and need of the hour targeting the assembly election, the BJP will pick MLAs to fill up three out of four cabinet berths shortly, said a senior leader.
Highly placed source of the govemment informed that three MLAs Sushanta Chowdhury, Bhagawan Das, and Biswa Bandhu Sen are likely to be inducted in the ministry, while MLA Ratan Chakraborty will become the speaker of Tripura Legislative Assembly.
However, the authentic name of the post of Deputy Speaker is yet to be confirmed. Ahead of the assembly election slated to be held in 2023, a change of tactics has become necessary in the aftermath of the situation in the state.
As a result the BJP Central Leadership is not delaying in new strategy. In this case, special emphasis will be given to organizational expansion.
Recently, Kishor Barman has been appointed as the general secretary of the party by the central leadership. Under his leadership in North Bengal, BJP won 30 out of 54 seats.
As the party leadership thinks that Kishor Barman had a significant contribution in West Bengal polls, he has now been Sent to Tripura by BJP national president JP Nadda.
Moreover, Baharul Islam Majumder has been appointed as the national executive member of the BJP Minority Morcha. Kishore Kumar Das of Tripura has also been made as to the national executive member of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha.
All these developments are being made to boost up party organization ahead of assembly election in 2023 and induction of new MLAs in the council of ministers is also a party strategy for the ensuing polls.
