Tripura CM Launched “Plastic-Free Tripura campaign”

Chief Minister of Tripura Dr Manik Saha ordered to keep all government offices, courts, schools, colleges clean in the state. 

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha officially launched the plastic-free Tripura campaign at Agartala Town Hall on Saturday and directed the state’s chief secretary to take initiatives in this regard. 

Tripura State Pollution Control Board initiated Plastic Free Tripura campaign to make Tripura plastic free. While discussing the event, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that various diseases can be caused due to the use of plastic. Plastic is more harmful than addiction.

 Diseases like diabetes, cancer can be caused by the use of plastic. Therefore, everyone should be aware of the dangers of using plastic. 

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha expressed his opinion that it will not be possible to make Tripura plastic free if awareness is not increased. Using plastic is a bad habit. This bad habit must be abandoned. All offices, courts, schools, colleges should be kept clean. 

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha directed the chief secretary of the state in this regard while discussing this day’s event. He also said that tiles should not be installed in the house. What is there should be kept clean. 

Apart from the Chief Minister, State Chief Secretary JK Sinha, Agartala Pur Nigam Mayor Deepak Majumder and other officials were present in the ceremony. 

The plastic-free Tripura campaign, which began on Saturday, will continue for a month. The presence of students from different schools was noticeable in the event.
