Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the state level orientation program organized for AYUSH CHOs at Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan in the capital on Thursday. A program was held on Homeopathic health care for mothers and children.
Speaking in the program he said:
“The government is thinking of setting up a homeopathic medical college in the state. The present government does not want to play politics on these issues”.
“Water and blood have no religion or caste. The people of the state have seen the atheist environment for so long. A religious environment has been created after the establishment of the present government. Religion is different. No one can survive without religion. The people of the state had forgotten the traditional culture of the state. Foreign ideas were forced into people’s minds”
“That’s why there is a lot of instability at present. Previous government also played politics with doctors. The doctors have now been released from it”.
Also, pointing fingers at some doctors, the Chief Minister said that he had seen in the past days that doctors used to select people as “my people”. And the most surprising thing is that when doctors and health workers were awarded, the workers belongs from opposition was not honoured. Today this tradition has changed. Doctors, health workers and ASHA workers are not rewarded based on who belongs to which group.
The Chief Minister said that everyone is equal to the doctors. Doctors and health workers are responsible for protecting people’s health. And people depend on doctors for treatment. Since the formation of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government in the country in 2014, the importance of the medical sector has increased. One of these is Ayush. In coming days central government seeking to speed up the treatment process through AYUSH.
“The state government is looking to change the face of hospitals with special emphasis on the medical sector” he added.
Several Homeo and Ayurvedic doctors were felicitated for their special contribution in providing medical services on the occasion. Also several Asha workers including doctors of primary health centers, CHOs of health and wellness centers were honored for their good work.
