Ashish Kumar Saha said that on the call of the National Congress against the various anti-people activities of the government, the State Congress will hold the movement.
While discussing in the meeting, MLA Sudip Roy Barman said that if the leadership accepts the responsibility and works together with everyone, it will not take much time to change the situation in the state of Tripura like Telangana. A completely failed BJP government is running in Tripura state. Nothing good is happening under this government. It’s just brainwashing people. Four new plaques have been installed at GB Hospital. But there is no such thing as service.
He claimed that the people of the state are not at all happy with the work of the BJP government.
In the meeting Tripura Congress leadrs also discussed on caste based census.
Speaking in the meeting Saha laid emphasis on the need of Caste Census and reforms in the reservation system.
“The Other Backward Class population of the country is deprived of all the government benefits because of the 50 percent cap on the reservation. We want that a new law is enacted that could override the existing rules and OBCs are also included in the net of social justice”, he said.
“The Central government is showing no hurry to initiate the process of delimitation. Our party led by Mallikarjun Kharge ji has demanded for Caste Census in the whole country and also promised that if it is elected to power the caste census will be conducted”. Saha said.
