Tripura CPIM Hits Ruling BJP Over Law & Order, Financial Condition Of Poor

Jitendra Choudhury, the CPIM Tripura State Secretary, attacked the current ruling BJP on various issues while attending a press conference organized on Monday.

He said that the economic situation and law and order situation of the state was reviewed in the CPIM state committee meeting yesterday i.e. Sunday.

He alleged in the press conference that during the previous government of the state, work and wages were handed over to the workers ten days before the puja. But this year no work was given under REGA and TUEP during Puja.

He alleged that the workers were not even paid their due wages.

He also alleged that the government is completely indifferent in this matter. As per the Food Security Act, every BPL family is supposed to get five kg of rice free of cost per month, but the BPL families did not get it.

Jitendra Choudhury said that the program to build the movement according to the all-India program along with the local demands has been taken to protect the rights of the people.

He said that on behalf of the Farm Labor Union and Tripura Scheduled Caste Development Association, the Raj Bhavan Abhiyan will be organized on November 23.

Apart from this, he said that on November 28, Raj Bhavan Abhiyan will be held on behalf of all left-wing organizations including Krishak Sabha.
