Rotten dead body of a young man identified as Dipankar Ghosh of East Pratapgarh in Agartala who was missing from last few days had been recovered from river Howrah on Wednesday. Dipankar was a makeup artist by profession.
He was missing since April 6. According to the family members of the deceased , he was called out from home and murdered.
“But despite written complaint of his missing and providing CCTV camera footage also police played no role to detain the killer” said the family members.
On Thursday, family members and local people of the area placed deputation at the police headquarters and demands proper investigation of the murder of Dipankar Ghosh.
“We provided CCTV footage of the person who called Dipankar from home and took away him sitting in a two Wheeler. Moreover police recovered call record of Dipankar’s mobile phone after seven days of his missing” alleged the family members.
” Police did nothing to find out Dipankar and at last his rotten body recovered from river Howrah. Even police not takes action on the base of CCTV footage provided by us” added the family members.
Family members of the deceased Dipankar Ghosh and local residents of the area expressed agitation also over the role of police in this incident.
