Tripura Govt Imposes Sec 144 Till Nov 4. HC Rejects TMC’s Plea For Rally. Abhishek To Arrive On Wednesday

Tuesday, the Tripura government informed through an affidavit to the High Court that it would not allow any political procession until November 4. 

Naturally High Court canceled Trinamool’s plea for the permission of the rally on September 22. So it’s confirmed that there is no rally of TMC on Wednesday.

But according to the TMC Sources Abhishek Banerjee is coming in Tripura on Wednesday even though he was not allowed for rally. 

The Trinamool Congress has said that there are other programs there. Incidentally, no political procession or meeting will be held in the state till November 4, keeping in mind the Covid situation and Durga Puja festival. 

This is what the Tripura government informed the High Court on Tuesday. On the other hand, the Tripura police had summoned Kunal Ghosh for allegedly obstructing government work. The Trinamool (TMC) spokesperson went to the NCC police station in Agartala on Tuesday morning . 

An hour later he fell ill there. He was immediately taken to ILS Hospital. The Trinamool leader is undergoing treatment there.

Notably The Trinamool Congress (TMC) had written to the Tripura police seeking permission to hold a rally led by Abhishek Banerjee on September 22 in Agartala. 

They also approached to the Tripura High Court for permission. However, on Tuesday day Biplab Deb government informed their stañ.

 Sources said that the High Court did not want to interfere in the matter as it is a matter of state police administration.
