Tripura Harijan Unnayan Samiti placed deputation to Director of SC Welfare Department Government of Tripura on Thursday on 7 points of demand, including the provision of immediate employment of educated Harijan youths in government and government undertaking offices, regularization of all Harijan youths who have been working in various government and government undertaking offices for more than 5 years.
On this day, a delegation from the organization went to SC Welfare Office in Gurkhabasti and placed this deputation to the direct of the department.
After the deputation, the State leaders of the organization faced the journalists and highlighted the 7-point demands and said that eight Harijan families have still not got government accommodation even after the completion of government housing for IGM Harijans.
They have been demanded to make arrangements to provide them with government accommodation as soon as possible.
Agartala including Dharmanagar, Kailashahar, Panisagar, Kumarghat, Teliamura and various Harijan colonies should be rehabilitated.
Every Harijan colony should have houses renovated with electricity drinking water and roads.
