Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha inaugurated the fourth phase of Chief Minister’s Healthy Childhood, Healthy Adolescence Campaign 2.0 in Sabroom on Saturday.
Speaking in the program CM said:
“It is not possible to move the society forward if the human body and mind are not healthy. It is for this purpose that the Chief Minister Healthy Childhood, Healthy Adolescence campaign is launched in Tripura. Three phases of this campaign have already been successfully completed. The fourth campaign has started from Saturday”.
“This campaign is playing a significant role in building healthy human resources. Tripura has targeted 12 lakh children under this campaign”.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister appreciated the active role of Balikamanch in South Tripura district to prevent child marriage and teenage pregnancy.
It is to be noted that the program was organized by the Health and Family Welfare Department, Education Department and Social Welfare and Social Education Department in the Southern Town Hall of Sabroom.
In the program , the Chief Minister administered deworming medicine to some students. Some students were also vaccinated in the program.
On the occasion, the chief minister along with other guests unveiled the cover of the campaign booklet on routine immunization of children.
Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha on his visit to Sabroom held a review meeting with district and sub-divisional officials at the conference hall of Sabroom Nagar Panchayat.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister inquired about the various developmental works of the district from the secretaries, directors, officials of all the departments. In the meeting, the Chief Minister ordered the speedy completion of the development programs undertaken in the district. Chief Minister lays emphasis on field visits of officials for any program in implementation of development programmes.
