Independent candidate in Tripura Assembly Elections Dr Atul Debbarma who just resigned from ruling BJP and filled nomination allegedly attacked by miscreants.
Significantly he has been attacked inside ‘highly secured’ SDM office.
The independent candidate informed about the incident of attack to Election Commission and also seeks security.
In his social media platform Dr Debbarma mentioned:
“Today while returning home after completion of scrutiny process i was attacked inside the premises of Teliamura SDM office by few group of goons, It’s very unfortunate that in this festival of democracy few ill minded people are using such pathetic techniques to curve down people’s popular mandate.
“I have sent a request letter to Chief Electorate Officer(CEO) of Tripura, for providance of escort security coverage and a house gaurd.
I have sent similar letters to the Returning officer of 29-Krishnapur Assembly Constituency and SDPO Teliamura”.
