A minor sixteen year old girl from Tripura-whose name can not be disclosed because of supreme court order, was recovered last night from an area in Calcutta city along with her paramour who was arrested on Wednesday late night.
Both the girl and her paramour were produced in Khowai magistrate’ court yesterday.
Police sources said that members of a family in Teliamura had filed a complaint with the Teliamura police station in February this year saying that their minor sixteen yearold girl had gone missing and might have eloped with a boy from West Bengal.
The police immediately put the mobile number of the girl under scanner in the Cyber cell of state police . After a long time the Cyber cell traced the location of the mobile set in an area of Calcutta and informed the police personnel in Teliamura.
Reacting immediately a few officers including the one who had registered the complaint left for Calcutta and arrested the girl and the boy identified as Pradip Ruhidas, son of Shaktipada Ruhidas of Balidanga area under Nadia district and brought them to Teliamura.
Both of them were produced in court at Khowai .
Even though the boy Pradip Ruhidas has been sent to jail custody.
