Tripura Political Violence: Cong Activist House Burnt To Ashes


Ahead of the upcoming elections, political violence intensified in Tripura.

On Monday night, the residence and poultry farm of CPIM worker Haripad Sharma in Bishalgarh’s Jangalia area were set on fire by miscreants.

The people of the house came out of the house after seeing the fire.

Haripad Sharma’s family alleged that the firemen reached the spot after a long 45 minutes. But by then Haripad Sharma’s four houses and poultry farm were 90 percent burnt. 

In the end, after not being able to bring it under control, the fire fighters of Swatganj were informed. 

They came and managed to bring the fire under control but could not save Haripad Sharma’s house and poultry farm.

Haripad Sharma said that there has been a lot of damage in this fire incident. Various items including his xerox machine, computer, two expensive cameras, fridge burnt.

 The helpless family could not save anything. Even on this day, Haripad Sharma had a look of fear on his face. He did not wanted to say in front of the media cameras.

“Since 2018, there have been many attacks in this house. We Went to the police also. But no justice till date. Finally, on Monday night, miscreants set fire by pouring petrol on the roof of the house”.  complaint his family.
