BJP Tripura State General Secretary Papia Datta to contest Assembly Election 2023.
According to the information received from BJP Headquarters Tripura pradesh, Papia Datta to contest from the 6 Agartala Assembly Constituency.
Later the candidate list has been officially announced from BJP Headquarters, Delhi.
Notably Datta to fight directly against Congress’ heavy weight candidate and Six times sitting MLA Sudip Roy Barman. This is the first time that Papia Datta to fight any Assembly Elections.
Earlier, BJP announced the names of 48 candidates list in the first phase on Saturday.
Later the party announced names of 6 candidates in 2nd phase.
BJP shares 5 seats with its alliance partner IPFT.
The last date for filing nomination for the upcoming Assembly Polls is January 30.
The polling will be held on February 16 and the counting of votes will take place on March 2.
