Tripura Polls: Cong Activists Blocked CPIM Candidate Not To Withdraw Nomination

Disagreement over candidate in Congress yet to end.  Congress activists openly expressed anger against party nominated candidate Ruby Ghosh in Kamalpur under Dhalai District of Tripura.

Moreover Congress activists openly supported the CPIM candidate and not allowed the nominee to withdraw his nomination paper. 

Congress workers went to the house of CPIM nominated candidate and sat on dharna on the last day for nomination withdraw on Thursday.

According to the report of the incident, the Congress and CPI(M) workers sat on dharna at the house of Ranjit Ghosh, the candidate of CPI(M) in 46 Kamalpur Assembly Constituency.

Because on this day CPIM candidate Ranjit Ghosh had to withdraw his nomination as directed his party.

But the Congress activists staged dharna at Mr. Ghosh’s house and demanded that Ranjit Ghosh cannot withdraw the nomination paper. 

According to the Congress workers, Congress candidate Ruby Ghosh has looted money for four and a half years as the district president after the establishment of the BJP government. 

Then she joined the Congress and managed the Congress leaders in Agartala to get a chance to become a candidate in the upcoming elections. 

But Congress sctivists claims that they cannot accept this ‘corrupt’ Ruby Ghosh as a Congress candidate. 

Finally, CPIM nominee Ranjit Ghosh withdrew his nomination in heavy police protection.
