Tripura Polls: Jitendra-Birjit Holds Meet To Decide Campaign Strategy

Tripura Congress President Birjit Sinha and CPIM Tripura State Secretary Jitendra Choudhury holds meeting on Friday regarding the upcoming assembly elections.

The meeting was held at the residence of PCC president Birjit Sinha in Krishnanagar.

Basically, this meeting was held with the aim of how the workers of both the parties can speed up the campaign. 

“This meeting is to take the final decision together to decide the program of the campaign” CPIM state secretary Jitendra Chowdhury said.

He also said the meeting was held to take a plan on how to take this campaign to the grassroot level on the basis of consensus.

 From February 9, central leaders will start coming to the state for campaign In Tripura. 

On the other hand, the PCC president said that this agreement was made in the interest of the people. All efforts will be made to fulfill the hopes and aspirations of the people of the state. Workers and leaders of the two parties have campaigned together. 

Regarding the anger of the party workers, he said that the boat is currently in deep water. So those who want to sink this boat are sure to die. 

The PCC president called for this boat to reach its destination. 

Notably the Left Front and Congress entered the election fray by agreeing seats to defeat the BJP. 

Left Front 46, Congress 13 and an independent candidate supported by Left Front are contesting on the basis of seat sharing agreement.
