Tripura Remember Maharaja Bir Bikram On His 115th Birth Anniversary


A special function was organized at the Tripura state BJP office on Saturday to mark the 115th birth anniversary of Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur. The day is celebrated with due dignity.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha was present in the program. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that the last Maharaja in the state was Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur. 

“The government that was in place in the state before 2018 never brought forward the history of Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya and his plan to build modern Tripura. But after the establishment of the current government in 2018, instead of doing politics for the ballot box like the previous government, proper respect has been arranged for Maharaja” said CM.

“And the present government is carrying out its duties with importance to ensure that the peace and harmony which Maharaj has tried to maintain in the state remains intact. In the budget of the financial year 2023-24, the allocation of money has been increased considering the development of the tribal” CM said. 

Meanwhile procession was organized in Agartala on Saturday morning by the Maharaja Bir Bikram Welfare Society. Minister Bikas Debbarma was present there. 

He said initiatives have been taken to celebrate the 115th birth anniversary of the last Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur with due dignity. 

“Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya was a architect of modern Tripura. The present government is working respecting the thoughts of Maharaja” said Minister Bikash Debbarma.
